So I am doing a series of post's covering how to's on perfecting your base/skin, everyones main focus no matter what project I am working on bridal/photo shoots/girlie nights out, is a glowing healthy looking skin, so without further a due here are just a few tips to help you all with your primers.
This is one of if not the most important steps to a perfectly flawless base, along with a well kept up skin care routine, especially if like myself you suffer with skin irritation and acne!!
1) Use less -
By using less primer your makeup will look less heavy, a lot of you dolls are using far, far to much primer, causing the foundation to sit heavier & much harsher, making it harder to blend in . Also if you are using a mattifer this can cause your makeup to become cakey and grey/or dual toned. If you do experience grey tones try not to use a mattifying primer, instead find the best setting powder loose or pressed for you! Using a setting spray over the top will work great if you over powder your face & will bring it back to looking like skin!
2) Colour primers -
If your skin lacks radiances using a colour based correcting primer really help. Here's a little colour guidance!
Green – Ideal for contrasting pink discolouration’s
Violet – Revitalises flat shades & warms yellow tones
Peach – Ideal for all skin tones – healthy skin effect.
3) Under eye primers -
Try to prime as close to your lash line as possible, this will help your concealer last longer & will fill in those fine lines. Doing this will help concealers not to cease or cake.
4)Thicker eyelashes -
If you run primer along your eyelashes, it will stop your mascara transferring , & lashes will look red carpet worthy thicker too!!
